What to expect:

Phase 3: Bringing It to Life
With your special moment captured, I bring the painting to life by adding the bride and groom, the wedding party, the guests, and all of the intricate details that make your event unique. By the end of the evening, the goal always is for you to have a finished work of art that is completely one of a kind and ready to take home the same night, however, sometimes, that is not possible! If for any reason the painting cannot be completed on site, I will take the canvas home with me and work on it in studio! The completed painting will be shipped out to the couple 3-4 weeks post wedding date! 

Phase 2: Capturing the Moment
When it is time for the moment you want preserved forever, such as the entrance, first kiss, or first dance, I take a series of photographs and videos on my phone. This allows me to freeze the exact scene and continue painting while you enjoy your evening. You do not have to stop, pose, or recreate the moment. Everything stays natural and authentic.

Setting Up
I arrive at your venue 2 to 3 hours early to find the perfect location that allows me to capture your special moment in the best way possible. My setup includes a wooden easel, a chair provided by the venue, a 3x5 carpet for indoor spaces, paints and brushes, a paint palette, and a tripod for video capture.

I begin with a light sketch and base painting of your setting.
          For indoor venues, this may include the layout of the tables and chairs, the décor, and the unique details of the room.
         For outdoor venues, I capture the beauty of the landscape, the ceremony area, floral details, and depending if you want all details or not, I may even add in arrangement of the seating!
After the sketch is in place, I add a base layer of paint to block in color and start building soft details so the canvas is ready when your special moment arrives.
